Field lining includes the field lining cart and orange field lining paint. Both of these are stored in our storage unit and need to be returned after field lining if you are NOT scheduled to line the fields the following week. If you are scheduled to line the field the next week, you are welcome to keep the cart and paint at your home.

Some field lining tips (click image to the right for pdf of fieldmarkings)
- If unable to line field during your spot, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and get the lining cart and paint to the backup.
Line fields on or after Wednesday, so lines are easily visible on game day.
- Paint each line twice. Once going one way and again the opposite way.
- Recommend lining prior to 5pm on Friday or after 4 PM on Saturday. Do not wait until Sunday morning.
- Shake the paint can vigorously before using, otherwise you will see the paint doesn't come out nicely.
- Ensure the paint can nozzle is pointed down and slid sideways into the holder with the wide part of the nozzle perpendicular to the way the cart rolls. This allows a wider line. Practice without the cart on how the can sprays paint with nozzle sideways or up/down to understand how this works.
- After lining the field, go to the spreadsheet and indicate the field has been lined by placing "Yes" in the column next to the field you've completed. Fields not indicated as lined by Saturday evening will prompt a call to the person responsible to confirm if lined or not.
