SCU joins AYSO 1631 to promote youth athletics

AYSO Region 1631 and Santa Clara University join forces to promote youth athletics!  With AYSO being the world's largest soccer club in the world and Santa Clara University being one of the premier educational and athletic institutions in the world, this combination reinforces both our commitments to helping youth to learn soccer, learn good sportsmanship and build friendships.  All with the ultimate goal of keeping a focus on the importance of education and helping build a better future.

For several seasons, the Santa Clara University Broncos have donated soccer scarves, mini soccer balls, athletic event tickets and more to support our free player closing day raffle.  In the Fall of 2015, AYSO Region 1631 also participated in youth league activities when the Men's Bronco team beat San Diego Toreros 3-0 to cap off a 6 game unbeaten streak that propelled them into the NCAA tournament.

This year, we have worked with Santa Clara University to setup an AYSO Day on October 28th where the Women Broncos soccer team takes on the Gonzaga Bulldogs.  AYSO youth players from around the south bay will participate in youth league activities including opening ceremony, half-time games, ball kids, etc.

We thank Santa Clara University for their continued support in building a world-class soccer youth league right here in Downtown San Jose!
