UPDATED MONDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2022AYSO Families,
We are SO excited to be back on the field! We need your help keeping our soccer sessions safe for everyone. Please take a moment to read through the following COVID safety guidelines for our Region 1631 in Downtown San Jose.
- AYSO follows City and County public health guidelines around COVID,
AND we reserve the right to implement our own stricter policies at our discretion. Please check this page frequently for any updated guidelines and policies, which will also be sent to all families by email if/when they change.
- There are currently no local mask mandates for outdoor youth sports programs like AYSO. Players and volunteers are strongly encouraged to wear a mask while in close proximity to other players or volunteers - especially during team huddles, pre-game equipment checks with the ref, etc. We recommend that every player and volunteer have a well-fitted mask with them at all times.
- Players are not to share water bottles or other personal equipment during practices or games - please bring your own
- There are no end-of-game high-fives, handshake lines, or parent 'tunnels'
- Spectators should maintain social distancing from people not in their own household group, and stay 6 feet back from the sideline of any field where a practice or game is taking place
- Positive COVID cases among players or volunteers should be reported to the League immediately so that we may notify teammates. If a player or volunteer is diagnosed with COVID they must show proof of a negative COVID test or a doctor's note clearing them to play before returning to AYSO activities.
Please contact the Regional Commissioner with any questions or concerns about these policies:
