Closing Day

Hello AYSO families!

 

We hope you are enjoying the season and we look forward to seeing you at our Closing Day celebration on Sunday, November 10 at Backesto Park. Setup starts at 11:00 AM and activities/games start at 12:00.


Volunteers Needed

 

Check In Table

  • All 8U, 6U and 5U players must check in upon arrival at the Check In Table.  All players will receive a raffle ticket and a potluck wrist band. Family members who bring food/drinks to share will also receive a potluck wrist band!


5U/6U Players

  • See the schedule below for 5U and 6U sessions. After your games, Coach Mike will hand out medals to the players!

8U Players

  • We will have a Closing Day Tournament for 8U teams! Games will be short (20 minutes each) and each team will play 3 games. Your coach or team parent will decide when to hand out medals, either in between games or after games.

10U/12U Players

  • 10U and 12U players do not have any games on Sunday the 19th, but we hope you come out to join us and participate in the potluck and raffle. You need to bring food to participate in the potluck, and you need to be present to win a raffle prize!


Fun Activities

  • Jump House (12:00-3:00)

  • Potluck (12:30-2:30)

  • Raffle (3:00 - 3:30)


Potluck

  • Bring food to share with other families. Families that bring food will get a wristband to enter the potluck. If you have teenagers joining us, please bring extra! The potluck goes from 12:30-2:30.


  • Potluck Instructions:

    • Last name starts with A - D = Bring beverages (water, juice boxes, sodas)

    • Last name starts with E - H = Bring a dessert

    • Last name starts with I - M = Bring a side dish, fruit, or vegetables

    • Last name starts with N - R = Bring a main dish

    • Last name starts with S - Z = Bring a salad or appetizer

  • If you bring drinks, please bring ones in bottles or cans instead of ones that need cups.

  • Label any non-disposable containers or serving utensils with your name, and pick them up by 2:45pm.


Raffle

  • Players get one ticket each when they check in and must be present to win. Players registered for Spring 2020 season will get an extra ticket!


Cleat exchange

  • Has your child outgrown their soccer cleats? Bring them to Closing Day and donate them to our cleat exchange box - or swap them out for another lightly used pair for free!
