Registration Information

Our mission is to deliver high-quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on the AYSO's Six Philosophies:

There are no tryouts for our recreational program - everybody plays!

6U: Born in 2014
8U: Born in 2013 or 2012
10U: Born in 2011 or 2010
12U: Born in 2009 or 2008
14U: Born in 2007 or 2006


- Team Assignment Night (TAN) is August 18 - this is the deadline for a full refund (minus non-refundable $20 national player fee)
- Fall Orientation is August 25
- Practices start the week of August 26 (for 8U and above)
- First games are the weekend of September 7-8 - this is the deadline for a 50% refund(minus non-refundable $20 national player fee)
- Last games are the weekend of November 9-10
- 10U, 12U and 14U teams are eligible to qualify for post-season tournaments in November and December

RECOMMENDED to have available before starting online registration:

  • Player Height, Weight and Uniform Size (Estimates OK)
  • Player Physician / Doctor Name and Phone Number
  • Player Health Insurance Company Name, Policy # and Policy Holder Name
  • To volunteer for the following roles you will need to registrer yourself as a volunteer: Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Referee, Board Members.  To register for these roles you will need the following:
  1. Photo ID (Driver License, State ID, Passport, Military ID or Resident ID), Photo ID Number, State Issued and Expiration Date.
  2. Reference Organization Address and Phone number.
  3. Personal reference (First & Last Name, address, phone)
Information and recommendations for the registration process:

  • Parents/guardians of new players must create an account. Be sure to create the account under YOUR name, not the player's name. If you had an account on our old site (before Fall 2017), you need to create a new account on this site. We recommend using your email address as the user ID if possible.
  • Once your account is active, you are able to add your children as "participants" on your account. 
  • You will be able to upload a picture of birth certificate, passport or other official photo ID for proof of age.  Optionally, you can send a picture to [email protected] or send a copy to our mailbox. You can also bring this to us at one of our in-person registration events. This is only needed once with the initial registration of each of your children, you will not need to provide this every season.
  • If no programs are available, either registration is closed or your child is too young/old for our league.
  • Parent participation as a volunteer is required - we are 100% volunteer run! If you do not wish to be a Coach, Assistant Coach, Referee, or Board Member, select "I do not wish to volunteer at this time".  You will be able to sign up for another role.
  • Review order.  If paying by credit card, input information and complete order.  If paying by personal check, stop at the "Review Order" stage and mail your check to our address listed at the bottom of this page.  Make check payable to "AYSO Region 1631".  Once received, the Registrar will input payment and you will receive an email receipt.  Payments by cash can be done at our onsite registrations.


How much does a season cost and what is included in the cost?
5U and 6U are $110 and 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U are $130 for the season.  Early bird rates are $20 off. Registration fees pay for fields, uniform, pictures, coach/ref equipment, volunteer training, insurance, and more. Twenty financial aid spots (family pays $20 for uniform) are available every season and financial aid applicants MUST apply in person at a registration event. 

What are the available payment methods?
Payment can be made by Credit card (Visa or Mastercard), check or exact cash.  Returned checks will incur an additional $25 charge to cover bank fees charged to the region.

When and where are the games?
Games are in parks and schools in the city of San Jose, mainly in the downtown area.
What if my child is too old to join?

Older kids should consider our neighboring AYSO region in West San Jose ( )
Do I need proof of age for my child to join a program?
Yes, we require a birth certificate for registration of new players into the program.  This is needed for insurance purposes and is only needed with the initial registration. We do not collect a copy, we just need to see it once to verify your child's age. You can bring this to a registration event or to the orientation at the beginning of the season.
